what is amie ?

AMIE stands for Associate Member of Institution of Engineers. The esteemed body, originated in 1928 when the Institution of Engineers India initiated an informal engineering education program called AMIE.  The qualification is a world wide recognized professional credential issued by the Institution of Engineers India. Students who successfully accomplish the program will have equal opportunities to secure bright engineering or related careers and will be held in esteem within the same ranks of a Bachelors Degree holder.  The course contents, syllabus and the preparing of examination papers are executed solely at the discretion of the Institute of Engineers India.

The key attraction in this study program is the relaxed timing for studies. Even an employed person who is looking to advance his or her career prospects or gain a professional qualification can undertake this course without it overlapping with other activities. Even a member working, studying or residing out side of India may apply and follow the course program as the program is structured to facilitate distance learning and undertaking of exams.
